Nassau, Bahamas

Our recent cruise from Miami to Nassau, bahamas was spectacular.  We left on a Friday afternoon, and sailed towards the Bahamas that evening.  Aa the sun set on the ocean, and the lights of the other ships appeared, it was a sight that I had never seen before. The gleem from the ocean at night was beautiful.  As the sun came up Saturday morning, it looked like the whole ocean was lit up.  It made me proud to be able to have my family share this experience with me.  When we arrived in Nassau, the sight of Atlantis was amazing.  The island is nice and sad at the same time.  It has very nice shops, the people very friendly, but it also has areas that are complete poverty stricken.  The straw market is where the women bring their goods to sell to make money for their families.  This reminds me of a flee market or garage sale here in the U.S.  I very strongly say to all those that have never been there, go enjoy the culture, the food, music and the festive atmosphere.  I would certainly return again, and again
